Ocean Word Search
Make your own word search.
- Choose a topic, then write down all the words that topic makes you think of. You should have short and long words.
- Count the letters in your longest word - that's how many letters across and down your puzzle square should be.
- Fill words into the square - starting with the longest one and working towards the shortest. Check off words as you use them.
- Make sure words have different directions - up, down, left, right, and diagonal.
- Overlap and reuse letters as much as possible. When you've fit in all your words, fill in the blank spaces with whatever letters you like.

Print off this page so you can draw on the picture with a pencil or pen. Words can be written
across, up, down, diagonally and backwards. When you have found all the words, look along each line and write down all the unused letters in order. They spell out the name of a Canadian endangered species. |
